Lubra - Donations for the Winterschool in Kathmandu

Dear friends of Yungdrung Bön-Stiftung,

The Christmas time and winter is about to start - also in Nepal!

In winter, the boarding school in Lubra is closed, since the cold and snow masses make the care and supply for the 75 children and adolescents very difficult… and it is then hardly possible to concentrate. By the end of February, all boarding students spend time with their families, which is a big challenge for many of them.

Many parents and children have come to us with the request to bring the entire classes 6 to 8 (20 students in total, see picture above) and some younger children from very remote villages and poor families to Kathmandu in the winter, as we did two years ago. These winter holidays are still wonderful and often told memories for the students, parents, villagers and monks! From mid-December to mid-February, they would live again near the Triten Norbutse Bön-Monastery and be looked after by monks, teachers and friends of boarding-school.

Many donations have already reached us for Lubra, but we still need 4000 Euro to make this valuable time possible for children and young people!
The travel, food, accommodation, care and excursions are included in this – at rising prices in the Kathmandu valley! Cooking and sleeping places and utensils must be rented in Kathmandu, but with the daily care we will get help from monks of the monastery.

We and the entire Chasey Kengste boarding school family from Lubra are happy about every donation!
With small and larger contributions, you can give students sustainable experience and knowledge in winter. They will be very happy about it and the families will be grateful.
